Brain Explorers' Club 2013-2014

Learn 2 Teach, Teach 2 Learn Summer 2013

These lessons were written in collaboration with other Learn 2 Teach staff. 

 

Introduction to Physical Programming - In this activity, participants learn how to use Modkit software to turn lights on and off. They complete a variety of challenges involving a light sensor, a button, and turning the lights on and off. Physical Programming Lesson 2: Drawbots - Participants build lego prototypes and figure out how to make them move forwards and backwards. Next, they do an activity to help them think about what types of instructions robots can understand. Digestive System: Students will eat a cracker, observing what happens to it while it is in their mouths. Next, students will complete an experiment that looks at the effects of amylase on starches.
