I have been fortunate enough to have many great mentors and teachers in my life. I want to mention two who have been very important in the past few years.

Susan Klimczak at the South End Technology Center has spent countless hours with me, talking through lessons, sharing ideas and giving me feedback. Her support, wisdom, and friendship have been essential to my growth as an educator and I have learned so much about working with young people and STEM education.

Arthur Eisenkraft, an education professor at UMass Boston, has also been a wonderful mentor to me. He is a truly amazing teacher, which is always inspiring to see. He created the 7E model for teaching science, which I think is a great way make science accessible to more students. He is constantly helping teachers improve their practice with new and innovative methods.
