Arthur Eisenkraft is a Distinguished Professor of Science Education and the Director of the Center of

Boston.

I took his Science Methods class in the fall of 2011 and then started working for him in the spring of 2013.

I created the Active Teacher Community website and formatted all of the documents on the site. I managed the site facilitators and was responsible for getting teachers to sign up and use the site, which involved writing the language to advertise the site through email, Facebook and Twitter and coming up with incentives that will encourage people to use the site.

In September 2015, I started working with the Wipro Science Education Fellowship, which is an effective professional development program for science teachers in the Boston area. I assist with managing the program, which focuses on adult learning, reflective practice and leadership.

In addition to these responsibilities, I wrote conducted literature reviews, wrote annual reports, and collected and analyzed data from other online teacher discussions.

I also planned and helped run the Online Teacher Professional Development Summit in November 2014 and am one of the editors of the book that resulted, Teacher Learning in the Digital Age: Online Professional Development in STEM Education.
